Who are we?

The event, first held in 1986, is essentially a large transport festival, in which classic cars, buses, bikes and other vehicles of all eras are arranged in static displays along the length of main high street, Lord Street, and roads off it. There is also a parade of vehicles.

Bringing community events to Fleetwood since
1986.

Welcome to the Fleetwood Festival of Transport, also fondly known as Tram Sunday, a unique and much-loved event every year. Since its inception in 1985, Tram Sunday has become a prominent celebration of transport and local heritage, attracting thousands of visitors from all over the country and beyond.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide an engaging and memorable experience that celebrates the rich transportation history in Fleetwood and the United Kingdom. We aim to create a fun-filled day for families, enthusiasts, and casual visitors alike, showcasing a diverse array of vintage vehicles, trams, buses, cars, and motorcycles and promoting the local culture and businesses.

Get Involved

Tram Sunday is organized by a dedicated team of volunteers who share a love for Fleetwood’s history and transport heritage. We are always looking for more people to get involved in various capacities, such as event planning, promotion, or helping out on the day itself. If you want to join our team, exhibit your own vintage vehicle, or become a sponsor, we would love to hear from you!

Important Update

IMPORTANT UPDATE

Due to a lack of volunteers and the operational constraints faced by the Tram Sunday team, we have taken the difficult decision to cancel the 2024 event.

The CIC is looking for support and exploring ways we can progress with future events, so please stay tuned for further updates.

We ask for your patience as we contact and refund those who have secured bookings for this year’s event.

Thank you for your understanding and support.
